Guided Walking Holidays in Africa

Walking Tours in Turkey  Holiday walking tours

Our philosophy is simple - to get out of the cities and into the countryside where you can discover the charm and beauty of Turkey, Istanbul in Turkey, Gallipoli, the Bozdac Mountain and the Black Sea. Walking with a small, like minded group is the best way to explore them. It is important to have time to "smell the roses", not to rush through but to soak up the atmosphere. We are great believers that the journey is what matters, not the destination! All our holidays in the Middle East are guided - we are not there to overload you with facts and figures but discreetly share with you the wonderful places we have discovered during our "journey".

About gourrmet food and wine in Turkey

Turkey has a rich culinary culture that has been influenced by various civilizations throughout history, including the Ottoman Empire and neighboring Middle Eastern and Mediterranean countries. Gourmet food in Turkey refers to high-quality and refined dishes that are typically prepared with fresh and locally-sourced ingredients, often incorporating traditional cooking techniques and flavors, among them; seafood, lamb, meze platters including grilled octopus, stuffed mussels and fresh cheeses, pide flatbread that include truffle oil, smoked salmon, or foie gras and finally Turkish Delight with pistachios, rose petals, and saffron.

Turkey has also a long history of wine production, with some of the oldest known winemaking sites in the world located in the country. Fine wine in Turkey refers to high-quality wines that are typically made with locally-grown grape varieties and aged in oak barrels. Here are some examples of fine wines in Turkey: Öküzgözü, Boğazkere, Narince, Kalecik, Emir and Şirince.
