Walking Tours in Greece  Holiday walking tours

Our philosophy is simple - to get out of the cities and into the countryside where you can discover the charm and beauty of the Greec regions such as Crete and Santorini in the Cyclades. Walking with a small, like minded group is the best way to explore them. It is important to have time to "smell the roses", not to rush through but to soak up the atmosphere. We are great believers that the journey is what matters, not the destination! All our holidays in Greece are guided - we are not there to overload you with facts and figures but discreetly share with you the wonderful places we have discovered during our "journey".

About gourmet food and wine in Greece

Greece is a country that is well known for its rich culinary culture and delicious wines. Greek cuisine is characterized by fresh, high-quality ingredients, and is heavily influenced by the country's history and geography. One of the most famous Greek dishes is moussaka, a hearty casserole made with layers of eggplant, ground beef or lamb, tomatoes, and béchamel sauce. Another popular dish is spanakopita, a savory pastry filled with spinach and feta cheese. In addition to these classic dishes, Greece is also known for its seafood, which is caught fresh from the Aegean Sea and Mediterranean Sea. Octopus, squid, and prawns are commonly found on menus, along with grilled fish like sea bream and sea bass. When it comes to wine, Greece has a long history of winemaking, with evidence of wine production dating back over 4,000 years. Some of the most famous Greek wines include Assyrtiko, a dry white wine from the volcanic island of Santorini; Agiorgitiko, a red wine from the Peloponnese region; and Moschofilero, a floral and aromatic white wine from the region of Mantinia.
