walkabout's philosophy

Embracing nature's transformative adventure

Our philosophy is rooted in the idea that by venturing into the countryside, you can uncover the hidden charm and breathtaking beauty of each region we explore.

When you join a Walkabout journey, you’ll be part of a small, intimate group of like-minded individuals who share a passion for outdoor exploration. We have carefully curated our groups to foster a sense of camaraderie and connection, allowing you to forge new friendships and create lasting memories along the trails.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable guides are not just experts in navigating the trails but are also passionate explorers themselves. They have personally scouted and discovered the most awe-inspiring locations during their own journeys. With genuine enthusiasm and discretion, they will reveal these hidden gems to you, sharing stories, anecdotes, and local insights along the way. Our guides are committed to making your adventure both enlightening and memorable.

To ensure your comfort and convenience, we have taken care of the logistical details. During the hiking days, you’ll only need to carry a light day pack containing essentials such as water, snacks, and personal items. Our modern and comfortable 9-seater vehicles will transport you and your luggage between the regions we visit, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenic drives between each captivating destination.

When it comes to accommodation, we prioritise your comfort, so you can rest and rejuvenate after a day of exploration. Wake up in breathtaking locations and start your day with a delicious and nourishing breakfast, fuelling you for the upcoming adventures. In the evenings, indulge in the flavours of the local cuisine as we provide delicious dinners, carefully selected to offer a taste of the region’s culinary delights. On designated free days, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the local dining options and indulge in culinary experiences of your choice.

At Walkabout, we want you to embrace the joy of the journey. Let us take care of the details, so you can fully immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring landscapes, forge new connections, and create cherished memories that will stay with you long after the hike is over.
