There is no reason to hang up your walking boots in winter. Provence is the land of sunshine and blue sky most of the year. Winter days are the ideal time to enjoy this region in the calm.

Our adventure begins in Aix-en-Provence where we meet and travel to the well-known Bandol vineyards. The picturesque small town of Cassis is the ideal location to explore the calanques with their high cliffs and crystal blue waters.

Snowshoeing in the winter paradise of Fouillouse in the French Alps offers a blissfully simple way to enjoy mountain scenery in all its pristine power and tranquillity.

People have been using snowshoes to navigate winter landscapes for centuries and there is no special skill needed. It is not dangerous but gloriously exhilarating and opens a magical new world of enjoyment.

Our Hotels & Cuisine

The first three nights are spent in the picture postcard village of Cassis. Our hotel is set in a lush garden surrounded by flowers, palm trees, swimming pool and spa.

It is only 5 minutes from the beach and very close to the magic calanques and Cap Canaille.

The final three nights are spent in the French Alps and our charming hotel is situated in the magnificent mountain village of Barcelonnette. Here we can sample great food with a Mexican influence.
